CUPE – Canadian Union of Public Employees Saskatchewan Division

March 29, 2010

At our annual convention, after Don Kossick’s presentation there was a motion to pass the hat for a collection and further approval by the delegates that CUPE Saskatchewan would match the collection. I am pleased to advise on behalf of the delegates, guests, and the 29,000 members of CUPE Saskatchewan I am forwarding a financial donation of $2,525.20.

I would like to add that in this total I have included a donation of $50.00 in Don Kossick’s name for his presentation at the convention.

The work your organization has done to continue with this project is admirable.

Sincerely,

Judy Henley
Secretary-Treasurer

Around the Sound Local Food Market
Owen Sound, Ontario
February 15, 2010

I have a local food market, selling the products of 82 cooks, farmers, gardeners, bakers, processors and crafts people from our area in Owen Sound. We’ve recently expanded so that we can be the first neighbourhood grocery store in thirty years. We’ve chosen a location that will allow us to run a community kitchen for the local residents and cooking classes and a small scale processing kitchen.

I also ran the Good Food Box for 14 years. So when I heard about your project from a young woman who came from Alberta via Saskatchewan, I wanted to send a small token and wish you the very best in building your dream.

Respectfully,
Anne Finlay-Stewart

Come on Board as we head into the station—Station 20 West. Make a donation and be part of shaping Saskatoon’s future.

Next…… Why build a community enterprise centre?

Station 20 West, Saskatoon's innovative community enterprise centre, is going ahead!

Station 20 West will give the residents of Saskatoon's core neighborhoods a hand up rather than a hand out. I support that kind of development.
